Kormilda College strives to support all students in their learning. A variety of support measures are in place and parents/carers are welcome to discuss other possibilities with the Wellbeing Team, facilitated by the Heads of Middle School and Senior School.
Our Learning Centre promotes academic excellence by providing access for students and staff to an information-rich environment. The Learning Centre supports the development of life-long learning skills. Teachers regularly take Middle School students to the Learning Centre to ensure that basic research skills are accomplished.
The Mathematics Faculty at Kormilda College runs a Maths Help program that is available to all of our students who may require assistance with a Mathematics assignment, Homework or with a concept that they just didn't quite understand in class. No bookings are required.
Maths Help is available on Mondays and Thursdays during lunchtime in Room 13.04. Maths Help is also available on Saturdays from 10am until 12 noon again in Room 13.04. Prior discussion with Mathematics teachers is recommended.
We support students to achieve success by providing them with the opportunity to attend a supervised and supported Homework program. There is no charge to attend the Learning Centre each afternoon for Homework Help.
Homework Help is available in the Kormilda Learning Centre and operates on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.
At 3.00pm a snack is provided and teachers are then available to assist students with Homework and assignments from 3.15pm until 4.15pm.
No bookings are required and all students are welcome. The Learning Centre is open until 4.15pm Monday to Thursday and until 3.00pm on Fridays.
