Senior Manager - Head of Wellbeing (contract postion for 2017 with the posibility of extension)

We are looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the Head of Wellbeing positon. You will be responsible for overseeing and strengthening a whole school approach to Pastoral Care and student wellbeing in conjunction with the Senior Management Team and the Heads of Year.

  • Lead and promote the Pastoral Care team to provide holistic and integrated health, wellbeing, and Pastoral support and programmes for the students
  • Develop and strengthen a whole school approach to Pastoral Care and student wellbeing
  • Participate as an effective member of the Senior Management Team
  • Oversee daily operations of the Pastoral Team
  • Liaise with external authorities in conjunction with Wellbeing staff
  • Ideally you will have an understanding of, or willingness to learn about, the needs of Indigenous students in a multi-cultural setting.

NTECT, VET & Careers (contract position for 2017 with the possibility of extension)

Kormilda College is looking for a suitably qualified person to undertake the role of NTCET/VET and Careers Coordinator with the following attributes:

  • Experience in teaching or managing NTCET;
  • Knowledge of all aspects of Vocational Education and Training (VET);
  • Experience in monitoring NTCET Pathways of all students;
  • Cert IV in Career Development or the ability to achieve this;
  • Familiarity with Schools Online.

ELC TEAM LEADER / RESPONSIBLE PERSON

Essential

  • Completed Diploma qualification or equivalent.
  • Current first aid qualifications.
  • Current anaphylaxis and asthma training.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the early childhood field.
  • A strong understanding of the EYLF and NQS.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the Reggio Emilia approach to early years education and care

PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHER

We are seeking an experienced Primary School teacher who will embrace the ethos of the College and deliver a holistic and academically challenging education in a collaborative environment.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Primary Years Programme (PYP) experience
  • The desire and ability to engage and motivate all students
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Experience in a specialist area, preferably Special Education, Physical Education, Performing and Visual Arts or LOTE (including Indonesian and/or Mandarin)
  • Senior First Aid certificate
  • Ability to gain registration with the Northern Territory Teacher Registration Board and obtain a Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) and National Police Clearance.

RELIEF TEACHERS

Kormilda College is a unique co-educational independent IB World School in Darwin catering for Early Learning to Year 12 including remote Indigenous boarders.

Kormilda College is seeking dynamic and reliable Primary and Secondary School teachers to join our relief pool to cover classes from Transition to Year 12.

Applicant must possess:

  • Current registration with the Northern Territory Teachers Registration Board
  • Hold a current Working with Children Clearance and National Police Clearance
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Experience and knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Programme would be highly regarded
