A World of Opportunity

Kormilda saved 99 Lives | Red Cross Blood Service

Kormilda College has been recognised at the Australian Red Cross Blood Service’s annual Red25 Awards presentation held in Darwin on 28 February.

Our College came third in the number of blood donations made during the Red25 group challenge, with 99 lives being saved by our effort. Congratulations were extended to the Principal Dr Helen Spiers recently by David McFarlane, Australian Red Cross Blood Service: Community Relations Officer.

Staff, parents and students over 18 are invited to continue to contribute to this important cause periodically, as during the annual Wet season, donor numbers traditionally slump. Kormilda College will continue with the Red25 group challenge during 2017 and save many more lives. So let them know at Red Cross that you represent Kormilda College!

Kormilda College is an Anglican and Uniting Church College.
