The IYLP Year 12 graduation was held at the Darwin Convention Centre, Saturday 28 November with nine Kormilda College graduates successfully completing the program.
The national event was held for the first time in Darwin due to the large number of graduating Kormilda students. Families, students and many officials from across Australia attended the celebrations in recognition of the magnificent student achievements.
Northern Territory Administrator John Hardy and Senator for the Northern Territory Nigel Scullion were also in attendance and applauded the hard work and perseverance that was demonstrated.
Many of the graduating students will now enter university to study a variety of degrees in teaching, law, nursing and engineering, which is a true reflection of how valuable the IYLP support is.
Kormilda have seven Year 12 IYLP students enrolled next year.
