Kormilda College is an Independent T-12 school situated centrally between the Darwin Central Business District and the satellite city of Palmerston. With a total staff of more than 180, Kormilda College is one of the largest private sector employers in Darwin.
The majority of Kormilda College students come from the Darwin and Greater Darwin areas with one third of the college population enrolling from remote properties and Indigenous communities across the Top End of Australia. We also welcome a small number of International boarding students.
The student population of 650 enrolled students range from Transition students in Primary School through to Year 12 in Senior School. There is also an Early Learning Centre on campus for students aged 3 to 5 years.
Our students enjoy modern, air-conditioned facilities within our campus, which covers 20 hectares (52 acres) and features views of the Darwin City skyline and harbour.
Students with specialised talents or special needs are individually catered for through the development by specialist teachers of Individual Learning Programs. The One Step Beyond and High Achievers' Academy across Years 7-10 enable high achieving students to access their individual areas of interest in more depth and subject leaders for extension from the Darwin community.
Today Kormilda is a world-recognised, independent, co-educational, multi-cultural Day and Boarding college dedicated to the provision of an affordable, quality education.
